Welcome to Moonthread Revival. This isn’t just a business, it’s the dream of 40 years of designing and sewing. I’m an 80s lady and still find those fashion designs as some of the most elegant of the 20th century.
At Moonthread, I try to stay true to an original gown through restoration and mending. At the same time, I’m taking older designs and applying a love for vintage fabrics I’ve saved over the years. My private label dresses are vintage contemporary and just as unique as the bride who chooses them.
That’s the thing about a vintage dress—it’s the sole survivor of a time gone by. It has its own story to tell about the bride and her hopes. Each dress brings a unique voice to your wedding that honors the adventure you’re embarking on.
My Approach
What began as a girl desperate to make new Barbie clothes has, over more than 40 years, grown into something more. I’m proud of the things I created over that time and even more excited for what’s ahead. What sets me apart isn’t just my process—it’s the intention behind it. By reviving vintage dresses and fabric, I’m saving them from a landfill. The story of these dresses continues in a way that honors the earth as well as the love stories it has embodied.
